Thomas Blondelle

Tenor Thomas Blondelle (Brugge, October 1982) has been permanent soloist at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. He is also a Master in musicology (University of Leuven (KUL), Belgium) and he was awarded a marvellous second prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2011.


Tenor Thomas Blondelle and pianist Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort are a celebrated duo and have been performing since 2011. They met after both becoming laureates of the Queen Elisabeth Competition.

Together they have performed on the concert stage with an extensive song and opera/operetta repertoire, mainly German (a.o. Beethoven, Haydn, Liszt, Léhar, Mahler, Mozart, Schubert, Schumann, Wagner, Wolf…), but also French (a.o. Offenbach, Poulenc, Ravel), English (Copland, Dougherty) and Italian (De Curtis, Di Capua, Donizetti, Rossini, Tosti, Verdi).
